About this place
The Maltempo Fountain is one of the civic monuments in Cingoli’s historic centre. Its Renaissance appearance is linked to the work of 1568 attributed to the Lombardi workshop: the stone structure combines its role as a public fountain with decoration rich in references to the town.
Among the carved motifs are the deer and the yew tree, images associated with Cingoli’s identity. It is a short stop on a walk around Corso Garibaldi and the nearby streets, to examine the details and see how a work of everyday use becomes part of the town’s story.
