Montagna Spaccata e Grotta del Turco

The Montagna Spaccata is situated on the slopes of Monte Orlando, where the crevices in the rock open out towards the sea. The Sanctuary of the Holy Trinity, the Chapel of the Crucifix and the Grotta del Turco bring together places of worship and folk traditions within a single coastal landscape.

The tour follows a route through stairways and rocky cliffs, with views out to sea. It is a stop well worth combining with a visit to Gaeta and Monte Orlando; for details of individual routes, please refer to the sanctuary’s signage and access conditions.
