Parco di Monte Orlando e Mausoleo di Munazio Planco

Monte Orlando is the green promontory that separates the old town of Gaeta from Serapo beach. Within this protected area, Mediterranean scrub gives way to footpaths, cliffs and the remains of the fortifications that have shaped the town’s history. At the summit stands the Roman mausoleum of Lucius Munatius Plancus.

This is an opportunity to walk amidst nature and history, taking in views of the gulf from above. There may be restrictions on the trails and access to the monuments: it is advisable to check the park authority’s notices before choosing your route.
